Welcome to the site of the Azores Fire Brigades

The Fire Brigades Inspection, apart from its competences attributed through the organization of the Azores Regional Civil Protection and Fire Service, has the main objective of ensuring the technical and operational liaison between the regional government and all the Fire Brigades of the Region, enhancing as much as possible the public investment and the dedication, professionalism and competence of our firefighters, ensuring their recognition and safety in an active and permanent manner.

We are focused on a true Regional Integrated System of Civil Protection and Fire Brigades, so that in the near future we may continue to ensure an effective and quality rescue, enabling in all the technical fields set out by Law, such as Fire Brigade missions, the modernization of infrastructures, vehicles, equipment and training, reaching excellence of international standard, at the level of what is best done in this field.

Also in this sense, we permanently and thoroughly seek to develop tools and instruments to improve the model of organization and adequacy of the Fire Brigades’ technical and operational skills, through the conception and execution of training programs, according to the true needs inherent to the real risks regarding the Azores.

Throughout this daily search for solutions, we appreciate the contribution of everyone, through suggestions, to consolidate the rigor, quality and trust that the Azorean Community expects from all Firefighters.

In this site, together we are going to shape the true “Values of the Firefighter”, to bring realities closer and to promote the ARA Fire Brigades, through the disclosure of relevant information on the activities developed within our Fire Brigades and enabling everyone the access to technical, operational and legal information, allowing to standardize the knowledge and the procedures, as well as, with pride and honor, reveal the good that it is done in the Azores as to protection and rescue, bringing Firefighters more and more closer to Community.
