Uma corrente de noroeste associada à ação conjunta entre um anticlone centrado a oeste e uma depressão a norte do arquipélago provoca um aumento da agitação marítima no Grupo Ocidental. Assim, emite-se:

The Azores Regional Civil Protection and Fire Service recommends the following self protection measures:
| SEA DISTURBANCE |
| • Verify the validity of your house and/or boat insurance policies and confirm if they cover natural phenomena; |
| • Reinforce your boat moorings or move it to a safe place; |
| • Take special precaution while circulating near the coast or riverfronts. Move away from low areas near the coast; |
| • Do not carry out any sea related activities, namely recreational fishing, nautical sports or walks by the seashore; |
| • Turn on the radio, pay attention to the recommendations broadcasted and do not help disseminate rumors; |
| • Always follow the recommendations provided by the authorities present, as they are there to assist you. |
